PvP KOS Zones

We hope you enjoy playing on the Rustology UK server but, despite being a relatively relaxed server, there are a few short rules that have been put in place to ensure a fun and fair experience for everyone:

  • 1) No KOS (No Killing on Sight) PvP is only allowed in certain circumstances
    You may only kill when raiding, counter-raiding, under/at airdrops, at a downed helicopter/chinook, and in radtowns/monuments

    The following monuments are exempt and KOS is NOT allowed:
    • All monuments are classed as PvP areas except:
    • Abandoned Cabins
    • Swamp
    • Lighthouse
    • Mining Outposts
    • Supermarkets
    • Gas Stations
    • Quarrys

  • 2) Killing in monuments is allowed as long as bother players are within the monument.
    The monument is defined as being on or within an element not found in the natural rust world
    (for example on concrete, inside walls or fences, etc.)
    Killing on Cargo and Oil Rigs is being on the monument, i.e no shooting towards from a nearby boat.

  • 3) Timed Crates, Air Drops, Downed Heli and Chinook, These are PVP Zones until the loot has been taken.
    * All items must be taken even if you throw them on the floor.
    (Once the contents has been taken PvP must end)

Teams

In order to report any issues you must submit the following information to the admin via Discord:

  • 1) Max Teams 4 only
  • 2) NO switch and swapping teams
  • 3) Allies must live at least 1 map square away

Raids

Our rules on raiding has changed, please ensure your familiar with it before raiding someone:

  • 1) NO Raiding within the first 24hrs of a wipe
  • 2) Doors are allowed to be place during a raid, but must all be removed afterwards
  • 3) Once a raid is complete the owner must still be able to access in order to rebuild, i.e don't take over a base
  • 4) If you steal or are caught inside someones base, the owner is allowed to kill.
    i.e Stealing loot from an open door, stealing from furnaces YOU are NOT allowed to fight back.
  • 5) PvP is only allowed during a raid and will have consisted of you blowing up walls/doors either before the kill or immediately after
    It is advised that you screen record your raids if proof is later required.
  • 6) Whilst raiding anyone can some and counter raid you as long it doesnt consist of a group that isnt team (i.e goes against the Max 4 Rule)

Reporting Problems

In order to report any issues you must submit the following information to the admin via Discord:

  • Screenshot of the Combat Log and who killed you
  • Screenshot of the map in the location you died in (inc death marker) *Please Zoom in*
  • Description of what happened and video if possible
All decisions of rule breaking is down to the admin. The admin may, mute, kick, ban, or time ban a player.


Traps

  • Traps are allowed within your base but not outside your external walls (i.e inside your external high walled compound is fine)
  • Turrets are allowed although if they are able to shoot players outside your base you must place warning signs

Help with Missplaced Walls/Items

Previously we have accepted messages from players in order help alter there base walls, this system has changed slightly.
If you wish for admin help removing or altering walls/large furnaces/foundations/refineries... you must do the following.

  • Goto the Rustology UK Admin Shop
  • Use the vending machine in order to purchase a roll of ducttape
  • Message admin for help, the ducttape will be exchanged before any walls are altered etc.


Map and BP Wipes

Our wipe schedule is as follows:

  • Full Map and BP wipe on the first Thursday of every Month (approx 7pm UK time, after the Facepunch Update)
  • Map wipes every 2 weeks
  • Depending on the month we might have 2 map wipes within 1 month.

General Rules

  • 1) Racism, homophobia or religious prejudice will not be tolerated within the in-game chat or external signs on bases, there is no excuse for this form of offensive behaviour within a server designed for all to enjoy and therefore the admin reserve the right to warn, mute, kick or ban any player breaking this rule.
  • 2) VAC Bans < 100 days are not allowed unless prior agreement with an admin.
  • 3) We would appreciate it if you only used English in the chat.

Donations are greatly appreciated and help with the cost of running the server. We will always try to assist players at our earliest opportunity, best way to contact an admin is requesting help within Discord!
